Consultation with your certified weight loss coach
Start off your journey by meeting 1-on-1 with your certified weight loss coach. Together we will discuss the protocol, your current habits, along with your goals. You are expected to journal your daily nutritional intake, meet weekly with your coach, follow your personalized meal plan, and communicate your weekly wins or challenges. You will weigh in weekly with your coach and take measurements and body composition analysis.
In phase 1, optimize fat loss through nutritional ketosis and preserve lean body mass through an adequate daily intake of high biological protein. Essential nutrients are provided through daily supplements, water, and low-glycemic vegetables. Daily you’ll consume 3-4 Ideal Protein items (breakfast, lunch, snack), 4 cups of vegetables minimum, 4-6 oz whole protein, 64 oz water, and your daily supplements.
Ideal Protein Chocolate Chip or regular pancakes and an optional cup of coffee.
Ideal Protein chicken soup with grilled vegetables.
8 oz filet Mignon, chicken breast or salmon with asparagus and mushrooms.
Ideal Protein caramel peanut bar or strawberry wafer.
Once reaching your goal weight you’re ready for Phase 2; Congratulations! Beginning with a step-down week, food intake is recorded for seven days to create the nutritional foundation for Stabilization. Healthy fats and complex carbohydrates (fruits/dairy/grains) are reintroduced in a measured and deliberate fashion, assessing the tolerance each week to effectively manage hunger and maintain weight loss. Here you will learn to live by your Macro Code! Daily you’ll consume 1-2 Ideal Protein items, 4 cups of vegetables minimum, 8-12 oz whole protein, 64 oz water, 4-8 fat servings (individual dependent), 15-40 net carbs (individual dependent), and your daily supplements.

For the first 12 months following Stabilization, you will continue to receive ongoing education, support, and strategies from your coach. The three phases of the Ideal Protein Protocol are designed to help you set, achieve and maintain your weight loss goals. During the Weight Loss Phase of the Protocol, we limit carbohydrate intake to encourage the body to turn to its fat stores for energy. By eating Ideal Protein foods, the Protocol helps to sustain muscle mass while teaching you how to develop smarter eating habits and lifestyle choices, to help maintain your weight after weight loss is achieved.
In North America, the Ideal Protein Protocol cost on average about $15 a day, which includes the cost of the foods and the supplements. We encourage you to think of the cost of the Protocol as part of your grocery bill. Redirecting average food expenses to different, healthier options often results in the Protocol being neutral in cost. Consultation fees vary from one location to another, depending on the additional services they offer, so feel free to visit many locations around your area.
Vegetarians can follow the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol and can consume eggs, fish or tofu during their evening meal for their whole protein. As an alternative, vegetarians can have 2 Ideal Protein foods for dinner in replacement of their whole protein. Ensure you review the ingredient list on all boxes before purchasing them. Strict vegans, who do not consume any animal proteins and animal by-products, such as dairy products, honey and so on, do not qualify to follow the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol due to the many dietary restrictions.
